I’m Vinh Truong, and I’ve been on a mission to help homeowners in distress since 2004. That’s when I founded Short Sale Surrender, a program designed to guide underwater homeowners through debt settlement and short sales—especially during the market downturns when so many felt trapped with no way out. It was my way of standing in the gap, offering clarity and control when everything else felt like chaos.
 

By around 2011, I saw the need shifting. More families wanted to stay in their homes, not walk away from them. So I pivoted my focus to loan modifications, helping clients reduce their principal balances, lower interest rates, and extend loan terms. That work saved countless homes and kept families rooted where they belonged.
 

In 2016, I launched My Foreclosure Hero, building on years of experience but with a sharper edge—specializing in defaulted loan audits to uncover improper mortgage servicing practices and lender errors. We don’t just help people react to foreclosure threats—we show them where lenders have gone wrong and how to fight back with real leverage.
 

Today, I continue to support homeowners under the CARES Act and beyond, offering trusted guidance through forbearance exits, loan restructures, and credit-preserving strategies. Whether you need a fresh start or a way to stay put, I’m here to help you navigate it—with transparency, compassion, and experience that gets results.
